Dourlas Stewart Ellis, M.A.B.Sc. of Queens University Kingston, Ont. was Prof. of Mathmatics at Queen's University, also O.L.S. & D.S.L. of Canada. Lt. Col. & O.C. of Canadian Engineers Training Centre, Seaford, Sussex, England after two and a half years with the Canadian Engineers in France and Belgium, during the war with Germany. He was twice mentioned in special dispatches by Sir Douglas Haig and was awarded the D.S.O. by King George V on June 3rd 1918.
